We have been busy working behind the scenes at Mum's the Word HQ - making plans for future events, visiting venues and meeting with lots of incredible suppliers.
We are very excited that we are now officially LIVE and can start telling you all about 'Mum's the Word'!
So where do we start...
Well firstly a very big HELLO - we are sisters, Natalie and Laura, and we are Mum's on a mission! We came up with the idea for Mum's the Word (over a glass or two of wine) back in January of this year. Inspired by other 'mum' communities such as 'Mothers Meeting' (London) and 'Mama Social' (Sheffield) we wanted to create a network for all the amazing local Mums living in and around Tunbridge Wells. Our live events are for Mamas who want to:
#1: HAVE SOME FUN - Just because you are a parent doesn't mean the good times come to an end. It's time for you to dust off your dancing shoes and prepare yourself for two hours of nostalgic fun at our launch party #Wild_Child - a daytime dance party for all the family.
#2: BE INSPIRED - Becoming a Mum shouldn't mean you put your big dreams on hold. If there is something that you have always dreamt about doing – be it setting up your own business, writing a novel, running a marathon - then NOW is the time to do it. We will be inviting incredible speakers from all over the UK to our monthly meet-ups, so you will walk out the door feeling inspired and motivated.
#3: LEARN SOMETHING NEW - We will be covering the big issues on your mind from how to increase your confidence, to getting a work/life balance, improving your health and fitness. We know your time is precious so the meet-ups will be one-hour long, with time for coffee and chat before and afterwards. We also appreciate that childcare can be tricky so your little ones are very welcome to come along too – we will have toys and play mats at the ready!
#4: JOIN A COMMUNITY - Some days can feel incredibly lonely when you're a new Mum, the hours are long and the conversation sucks so the support and friendship of other Mums is massively important. We want Mum's the Word to be an inclusive community and are really excited about meeting you all.
So that's a little bit about us, but we also want to find out more about YOU. What things do you find challenging and need advice on? What type of events would you love to come along to? Get in touch, we would love to hear from you....
