Mum’s the Word brings together like-minded Mamas with inspiring guest speakers from around the UK to discuss everything from your career, style, health and well-being.
Whether you are currently on maternity leave and wondering what to do next (go back to work, do something for yourself) a stay at home Mum, aspiring Mum blogger, a Mum with kids at school or even an expectant Mum - we'll have a meet up event that's just right for you to get inspired and meet some lovely fellow Mamas.
Mum's the Word Summer Party - Featuring the Ruby Darlings
Friday 7th July, 7.30pm - 12.30am at The Secret Manor, T-Wells
Our first SUMMER PARTY will be held The Secret Manor on Friday 7th July & it's going to be MEGAAAAA! There will be comedy from the brilliantly filthy The Ruby Darlings (be prepared to laugh your asses off mamas 😂) cocktails aplenty, beauty treatments by The Beauty Bar, a photo booth and #Wild_Child DJ's to see us through until the small hours. So grab your girlfriends & get your glam on for this very special girls night out.

Mamas Meet Up #8 with Clemmie Hooper - SOLD OUT
Friday 23rd June, 10am - 12pm at the Harbour Hotel Brighton.
We are delighted to announce that our first Mamas Meet Up in Brighton is with mama & midwife extraordinaire CLEMMIE HOOPER (aka @mother_of_daughters). Clemmie will be joining us to talk about her new book 'How to Grow a baby and Push it Out' as well as how she juggles having four children, her work as an NHS midwife and life as one of the most well known insta-mums.
Please feel free to bring your little ones along, we will have lots for them to play with courtesy of What about the kids whilst you get inspired, drink all the coffee and meet lots of other lovely mums.
You can also buy your copy of 'How to Grow a baby and Push it Out' at the Meet Up (Waterstones Brighton will be there!) and have it signed by Clemmie herself.

We are very excited to welcome Clemmie Telford to our next Mamas Meet Up on Friday 19th May at the Royal Wells Hotel to discuss 'How to make work WORK for you'. Clemmie is mum to two boys (Bertie & Woody), a Freelance Creative Strategist at Facebook & Instagram and also has a mega successful blog 'Mother of all Lists' with a following of over 35k on instagram - this mama knows her stuff & we cannot wait to meet her.
Joining Clemmie on the panel we are also very excited to welcome Gill Munro from Digital Mums, who are leading the charge with their #WorkThatWorks campaign. Digital Mums offer training and support to enable mums to achieve their perfect work/life balance.
And finally Elizabeth VanBergen from TW Women's Equality Party will be joining our panel, Elizabeth is a fountain of knowledge with over 20 years experience as a barrister specialising in employment law. Elizabeth is a firm believer that having a baby need not/should not put the brakes on a woman's career and would love to answer your questions about every aspect of returning to work from balancing childcare costs vs wages to the best way to request flexible working.

With her successful blog 'Gas and Air' and a huge @Mother_of_daughters instagram following (226K), Clemmie has been described as the midwife to the millennials. We are delighted to announce that Clemmie will be joining us to talk about her new book 'How to Grow a baby and push it out. She will be discussing all things pregnancy and birth related, from morning sickness to what to expect at your scan, through to pushing out your baby and the fourth trimester; how to cope when you come home from hospital, breastfeeding and beyond. We'll also be speaking to Clemmie about how she juggles having four children, work as a community based midwife and life as one of the most well known insta mums!
There will be time for tea, coffee and Clemmie will also be signing her book! We will have Waterstones' Tunbridge Wells joining us to sell copies of How to Grow a Baby. The Scummy Mummies are bringing their show to Tunbridge Wells for an evening of laughs for less-than-perfect parents. Comedians Helen Thorn & Ellie Gibson cover a wide range of parenting topics, from pelvic floors and play-dates to farting and fish fingers. Based on the UK's No. 1 Kids and Family podcast, as recommended by The Telegraph & BBC's Woman's Hour. Expect songs, sketches, stand-up and some incredible catsuits!
Ellie Gibson was born and raised in south-east London
and is too lazy to leave. She is a wife, mother, veteran
video games journalist and aspiring stand-up
comedian, often all at the same time. She
lives with her husband, Pete, their four-year-old
son Charlie and baby Joe.
Helen Thorn originally hails from some tiny town in Australia
straight out of A Country Practice, but has lived in the UK
for many years. She is also a stand-up comedian and
has been on telly and everything. Helen is married to
the lovely Will, with whom she has two children -
Matilda, aged seven, and Hugo, four.

Mother Pukka is the ultimate blogger and vlogger for people who just happen to be parents!
With over 46K instagram followers, Anna is not only a brilliantly funny commentator on parenthood (assisted at all times by her 3 year old daughter and company VP, Mae) but also a campaigner for real issues like flexible working and miscarriage.
Anna will be offering her #parentingtheshitoutoflife pearls of wisdom on everything from blogging, vlogging, building a brand like a boss to balancing work life with motherhood.

Our fashion and beauty special is perfect for anyone that feels like they've lost their fashion and beauty mojo since having a small person BUT wants it back!
Joining us for our Meet Up is personal stylist and mama Victoria Genevieve and fashion blogger and mum to twin boys, Style Mum (aka Pascale Banks) talking all things fashion; school run hacks, breast-feeding friendly clothes (that aren't twee), clothes that work for work AND must-have (budget) buys for the summer!
We will also be joined by the highly acclaimed No. 6 Clinic who will be discussing tired skin, eye bags and make-up tips (helping us to look fabulous when we feel far from it!)
And to finish off the session every Mama will get a delicious cocktail courtesy of The Cocktail Social.
