What time did you wake up this morning?

7.45am - please don't hate me! My boys seem to be sleeping well at the moment. Not sure how long that will last!

What was your very first thought of the day?

Is there any way I can avoid going for a run?! Rain had been the reason the day before. No excuses this morning...

What are your 3 essentials for getting up, out and at 'em?

As difficult as it can be to get out there, an early morning run sets me up for the day -  I can only do it if my partner is on the late shift so he can deal with the kids. A bowl of porridge with a cup of coffee is essential too and a bit of makeup always makes me feel more human!

Describe a typical morning

Once I have dropped my eldest at pre-school and put Ben down for a nap, the laptop comes out! Similar to Gemma (The Social Mum), my work happens at the kitchen table! I usually look after my social media management clients first and then try to do as much writing during the day as I find this more difficult to do at night.

Your perfect local lunch spot would be...

The Vineyard in Lamberhurst is great for taking the kids to (as there's an outdoor play area) but if it's adults only, then it's got to be Juliets or Basil

The happiest moment in your day?

Pre-bed cuddles with my boys!

The hardest moment in your day?

Switching off the laptop, switching off my brain and going to bed. I waste a lot of time faffing around on social media and emails instead of just going to bed. I need to start being strict with myself!

#1 tip for juggling work and family life?

I believe that it's impossible to have an equal work/life balance, but trying to give yourself a digital detox once a week is important, or ideally two days a week (the weekend if possible) to just switch off and enjoy family life. I use the Evernote app to make millions of lists which is a God-send. I can access it on my laptop and phone and it's a brilliant way of ensuring nothing gets forgotten...

Most overused word of the day?

Careful! Both my partner and I seem to always be telling the kids to be 'careful'. I think they are so used to it at this stage that it doesn't have any impact when we say it.

Once the kids are in bed I...

Get the laptop out and work on my blog. I'm also in the middle of planning my wedding which it taking place next month, so lots of wed-admin happens in the evenings at the moment. I usually have the TV on in the background! I love what I do so it's not really 'work' :)

Top 3 local gems?

Ooooh that's a tricky one....Wilderness Wood is amazing for a budget friendly but fun family day out. I have had several 'business' meetings at PUP Cafe which is fab - my kids love the softplay there and it enables me to actually speak to people, many of which are local Mums too. The Bluebell Woods at Pepenbury are a favourite too and I had a beautiful meal at Pasta Madre on Camden Road recently. It has a really authentic feel to it with traditional Italian food plus the staff were lovely....Sorry - I think that's four?!
